Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 43 XXLIII - Avengers Age of Ultron - 1/6 MMS278 D09 video and photo review

The Mark 43 or Mark XLIII suit of Hot Toys first Avengers Age of Ultron figure has arrived. I know what to expect so the "Wow" factor was not that present - especially looking at the hefty price tag for a day 1 Hong Kong special edition release (approx. 500 USD with EMS shipping). Doing the caluclation you overpay about 100 USD for this getting it directly from HK first batch releases....which is in the end no where justifying the figure.

Getting it at retail around 350 USD would probably be OK - but then again I'd end up with huge Fedex costs have it shipped from Sideshow. But it pays off especially if you haven't the Mark 42 yet - the predecessor suit of Mark 43 of which the new suit is basically a repaint in negative colors. Altough a very nice repaint since the red they applied and all the battle marks are very well done.
